Where in the world did the entire month of March go?!

Does anyone else feel like March went by super fast!  I really can't believe that tomorrow is April 1st.  We had a lot of fun things to look forward to in March and got to celebrate 1 year of being Floridians!

First of all, thank you to everyone one who wished me a happy birthday!  I'm not sure what happened to me in the last year, but somehow birthdays became really uneventful since last years birthday.  I have always really loved birthdays - not just mine - okay especially mine - and it's always been just a really fun day, week, and month.  But for some reason this year I just was not feeling it.  I really wanted the day to be over so people would quit acknowledging that it was in fact my 27th birthday.  Not that I feel old or anything, just maybe birthdays really aren't exciting past 25.  I am however looking forward to the 30th birthday.  That to me sounds fun.  Maybe in 3 years I'll be excited again.  Kyle and I have always talked about having a really fun 1920's - Roaring 20's - Great Gatsby themed 30th birthday party.  Don't hold me to it, it's just an idea we like to throw around and maybe in 3 years we'll we able to throw that kind of party.  We'll see.  But don't worry you all will be invited!

Some sweet girls from work( and great friends) came out for happy hour and then Kyle met up with us and we went to dinner. It was a really nice low key kind of birthday night.  Surprisingly, I know, I didn't really plan anything or even think about asking people to hang out after work.  But we went and grabbed some drinks and had a great time!  And in case you can't tell the weather was perfect!

We had Red Stripe Light every day on our honeymoon in Jamaica.  I mean this stuff flowed like water.  We really liked it, but was disappointed that we could not find it anywhere closed to us.  We happened to go to a place downtown that we've never even been to for dinner and they had it!

Last weekend we helped our friends Kelli and Patrick move into their cute new house!  They got transfered back to Florida from California with Gallo and it's been so great to meet them and hang out with them!  Saturday was Kelli's birthday so after moving we went for some hibachi and martinis!

This weekend Nate Dogg and Mobakenator are coming to spend the Easter weekend with us!  This will be their first trip out to see us and we can't wait.  They moved to Nashville with Nate's work and are going to make the drive down.  Luckily we are both off on Friday so we'll get to spend the day with them and I am pretty sure the plan is to...are you ready...I bet you can't guess what we're going to do...go to UNIVERSAL!  Of course!  We love that place!  And at some point I'm sure we'll make it to the beach!

Hope everyone has a wonderful, happy, and safe Easter weekend.

March Madness

Okay I know we have a lot to catch up on so I'll just get to it!  First, we went to the Jimmy Buffett concert and had a great time!  It is certainly an experience.  And we are now going to the show in Tampa because it is on a Saturday and at an amphitheater so we'll  be able to enjoy the whole day tailgating in true JB form!

Although only 4 of us went to the concert lots of people came out to pre-party!

Next, I went to see Taylor Swift with the girls and we had a blast!  She puts on a really fun show.  Even though we were the oldest people there without children in tow...we had a great time!  All of her songs are so fun to sing along to!  And we can all totally relate to 17 year old break up songs right?!

 The girls at the show!

Then I got to hang out with my favorite pledge in the world!  I don't have a picture of her visit, but it was fun to see her while she was in town!  and we even went to a pottery painting place on Saturday night and brought some dinner and wine and painted some cute pieces!  Although when I went to go pick up my picture frame it looks like a 5 year old did it, but we still had a fun time!

Then the next week Kyle and I enjoyed a wonderful concert by Michael Buble'.  He truly has an amazing voice.  I could sit and listen to him sing for hours!

That weekend we went to an Atlanta Braves Spring training game.  It was really fun.  The park is out at the Disney Wild World of Sports Complex and it was the first spring training game we'd ever been too.  Our seats were right along the foul line in the front row!  Pretty cool place to sit.  I've never sat that close to the field before and all the players are so relaxed they walk by and wave and sign things and give out balls.  And I finally got some sun, so I'm starting to look like

Last weekend we had our friends Chris and Rachel from Knoxville in town to spend their spring break with us!  They really did a lot while they were here and I am glad they had a wonderful trip!  They got to see Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, New Smyrna Beach, Universal and Islands of Adventure.  And we were even able to go get Jeremiah's 3 times!

Here is a sneak peek at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter that they just announced yesterday officially opens June 18th!  As season ticket holders we get to go to the premier opening and I will be sure to let you all know how it is.

This is the 4 of us after a long but successful day at Universal Studios!  We never waited longer than like 15 minutes for a ride and finally got to ride the new Hollywood Rip Ride Rocket Roller Coaster (I give it a B minus...nothing great).  We had a great time with the Taylor's!  Thank you for spending your vacation with us in Orlando!

I think I finally have you all caught up on the Paynes.  Our next visitors are the Bakers from Thompson Station, TN!  They will be here next weekend and we're looking forward to hanging out with them.  I haven't seen Morgan in a very very long time!  Only 1 more week of no Mexican Food!  I am craving chips and salsa and a bean burritto!

Love and miss you all!

Happy Birthday AW!

Alphonse Walter is turning 5 years old today!  I can not believe we have had him for 5 years.  He is the most wonderful dog, and he's actually really funny too!  It was fun going through our pictures trying to find some to post and I could have posted 20 more, but I won't.  I tried to get him an appointment at the Sparky's DOggie Day Spa in Orlando, but I'll have to make the appointment for tomorrow.  He loves going to Sparky's.  Maybe I'll just take him on a car ride tonight and roll the window down!

AW is about 3 months old in this pic.

Giving Daddy sweet kisses!

A boy and his ball

I know I haven't written anything recently, but not too much has been going on!  But I just wanted to share how cute Mr. AW is with his BFF, his ball. This is what I saw when I walked into the kitchen this morning.  He always has to have his ball near him while he eats, and will push it closer to his bowls if it starts to roll away, but this was an entirely new level of obsession.  He was just eating around the ball as if it wasn't even in his way!

We are going to see Michael Buble' in concert tonight!  Our first dance song was a Michael Buble' song so we'll see if he plays it tonight.  It's not one of his popular ones so I doubt it but it would certainly be cool if he did!

I did get to skype with Miss Laney last night and let me tell you she is getting so big.  I can't believe she is 9 months old already.  She is crawling all over the place and is now obsessed with Elmo.  They bought her an Elmo doll and she absolutely loves it.  She will crawl all over the floor with Elmo in her hands and then she she pulls her self up on the chair but she leaves Elmo on the ground and as soon as she realizes it, she goes back to the ground to retrieve Elmo.  But then she can't pull her self up while holding onto Elmo and the cycle continues.  Just the cutest not so littlest thing you've ever seen.  I can not wait to see her for her 1st birthday party in May!  And her official first phrase is "uh oh" and it's the cutest thing ever.  She will even say it in context like when you drop something!  So thankful for skype and getting to see her in "real" life!

Hope everyone is doing well!  I'll try to think of some more interesting things to write about!  Happy Wednesday!
