First of all, thank you to everyone one who wished me a happy birthday! I'm not sure what happened to me in the last year, but somehow birthdays became really uneventful since last years birthday. I have always really loved birthdays - not just mine - okay especially mine - and it's always been just a really fun day, week, and month. But for some reason this year I just was not feeling it. I really wanted the day to be over so people would quit acknowledging that it was in fact my 27th birthday. Not that I feel old or anything, just maybe birthdays really aren't exciting past 25. I am however looking forward to the 30th birthday. That to me sounds fun. Maybe in 3 years I'll be excited again. Kyle and I have always talked about having a really fun 1920's - Roaring 20's - Great Gatsby themed 30th birthday party. Don't hold me to it, it's just an idea we like to throw around and maybe in 3 years we'll we able to throw that kind of party. We'll see. But don't worry you all will be invited!
Some sweet girls from work( and great friends) came out for happy hour and then Kyle met up with us and we went to dinner. It was a really nice low key kind of birthday night. Surprisingly, I know, I didn't really plan anything or even think about asking people to hang out after work. But we went and grabbed some drinks and had a great time! And in case you can't tell the weather was perfect!
We had Red Stripe Light every day on our honeymoon in Jamaica. I mean this stuff flowed like water. We really liked it, but was disappointed that we could not find it anywhere closed to us. We happened to go to a place downtown that we've never even been to for dinner and they had it!
Last weekend we helped our friends Kelli and Patrick move into their cute new house! They got transfered back to Florida from California with Gallo and it's been so great to meet them and hang out with them! Saturday was Kelli's birthday so after moving we went for some hibachi and martinis!
This weekend Nate Dogg and Mobakenator are coming to spend the Easter weekend with us! This will be their first trip out to see us and we can't wait. They moved to Nashville with Nate's work and are going to make the drive down. Luckily we are both off on Friday so we'll get to spend the day with them and I am pretty sure the plan is to...are you ready...I bet you can't guess what we're going to do...go to UNIVERSAL! Of course! We love that place! And at some point I'm sure we'll make it to the beach!
Hope everyone has a wonderful, happy, and safe Easter weekend.
